Our Story

For more than two decades, my work has revolved around drinks. Coca-Cola, beer, whisky, wine. I lived in the world of flavour, craft, and connection. But in 2018, while pregnant with my first child and working in wine marketing, I noticed something missing.
I was constantly hosting events yet unable to drink, and the non-alcoholic options available felt hollow. They were sweet, uncomplicated, and lacking the nuance I admired in wine. I began searching for something else. Something that held clarity, intention, and a quiet kind of beauty.
That search led me to tea.
What began as curiosity soon turned into devotion. I blended iced teas at home, steeped chai in old Shiraz barrels, and allowed myself to disappear into the world of leaves, terroir, and time. In 2022, with newborn twins beside me, I committed fully and became a Master of Tea.
In tea, I discovered what I had been craving: a crafted, natural product with a sense of place and a deeper gift that other drinks could not offer. Tea carries ritual. It carries history. It invites presence. It asks us to slow down, breathe, and return to ourselves.
Tea makes space for us.
Space to think, to feel, to reconnect, to begin again.
In 2025, Sociatea was created from this belief. A marketplace that honours the makers who grow, craft, and blend with care. A home for teas that are thoughtful, responsible, and quietly expressive. A celebration of the small rituals that bring meaning back into our days.
Sociatea exists as an invitation to pause, to savour, and to connect with others and with yourself. Every tea here has been selected because it enhances life not through extravagance, but through depth, beauty, and intention.
