Meet Jacinta

Sociatea was founded by Jacinta Gibson, a Certified Tea Master with almost two decades spent working across the world of drinks — from soft drink, beer and spirits to wine, events, hospitality, brand storytelling and, eventually, tea.

Over the years, I became interested in all the things that sit around a drink as much as the drink itself: where it comes from, how it is made, how people talk about it, when they choose it, and the role it plays around a table.

Tea kept drawing me back.

It has the same depth, craft and sense of place as so many other drinks, yet it can still be surprisingly difficult to choose well.

So I built the kind of tea store I wanted to shop from myself.

I select the teas, taste them and decide what earns a place in the collection. Then we explain them in normal English, so you can find something good without needing to become an expert first.
